" My wife & I recently had a vow renewal ceremony at Heartstone Country Retreat. It was the most amazing day ever. The place is beautiful and very romantic. Antonia was so wonderful to work with and she was a most gracious host ...we greatly enjoyed staying on the property, in the Heartstone Lodge. It was quiet and super comfortable. "Wow - all I can say is that my heart is still smiling from my stay in the Country Tweed guest room on the 2nd floor of the renovated dairy barn. There is no signage for Heartstone Lodge. Only the gravel road. Low profile. I enjoyed sitting by the pond reading a book. I had the entire place to myself which was so peaceful ...The views from the property are stunning and the buildings and common spaces are charming. I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the firepit with another book! The bed was SUPER comfortable ...I can't remember the last time I slept over 12 hours uninterrupted. This was our first Airbnb and we were left totally amazed ...we felt like we were completely alone with nature, the mountains, the cows and the beauty of the farm. The studio was so comfortable, cozy and welcoming. We were truly able to rest and relax ...when nighttime came, Antonia's angels were the perfect light in the darkness, so we could enjoy the stars. You have the best of 3 worlds - a gorgeous barn, an artistic garden area and lovely views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. "Heartstone was absolutely an excellent value for all you receive. We did everything here - lodging, pre-wedding photoshoot, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception and Sunday brunch. The venue and surrounding area are special, the perfect size for an intimate wedding of 100 guests or fewer, though it could accommodate more ...A huge advantage - the venue layout can facilitate many configurations, depending on preferences, weather conditions etc ...Heartstone is completely unpretentious though elegant, and the hosts are extremely responsive and helpful ... the place is imbued with an energy of love and positivity, I believe  due in part to the conscious and intentional energy work practiced by the owners. I am now trying to convince all my remaining unmarried friends to host their weddings at Heartstone, because this is a place I would love to return to again and again!" ~ V.M.

“Surpassed all expectations!! Had a stressful work week, came to Antonia and Barney's slice of paradise and felt an instant calm. The pictures do not do this place justice. Many options for outdoor relaxation with awesome views. Clean and charming interior – the brick floors add a fun flair. Do yourself a favor and take the farm walk to see Antonia's sculpture garden.
